So finally I've decided to open for commissions.
What I will and can do?
Due to the nature of online commissions it will be all digital art. I can do pencil and watercolors, but it may not be possible to ship original art to the buyer.
My themes are usually comic book superheroes, cyberpunk, hard-sf or historical art. The latter means exactly this - historical, so clothing and armor isn't fantasy one. I can also do fantasy, if required.
All of this includes your original characters as well. Actually, I prefer to work with original characters. Oh, and I like Transformers.
My art style is inspired mostly by western comics and cartoons.
Due to the open nature of dA I tend to avoid explicit sex and violence.
How it will work?
If you are interested, contact me by sending me note here on dA, or an email to email@example.com
I will ask about half of the price before I'll start. I'll ask about the rest when I'll finish.
It will be your choice if you want to keep your comission only to yourself. If not, it will be also published in my dA gallery.
Please, do understand that I do not follow every published comic book or video game. There may be a chance that I've never saw character intended for your fan art, so I may ask about its images or screenshots. Same goes for your original character - unless its look entirely up to me, I'll ask about examples, references, or screenshots (it this one is your video game character). Few words of explanation also will be helpful.
Those are subject to change, or rather expand - as I will add another categories.
Raw lineart: $15
If you want your colors done by anyone else. This will be mailed as a two layer .psd file - with lines on a separate layer.
Full body color commission: $25
With simplified or no background.
Full body detailed color commission: $30
If you want all tiny details on tech, outfit, armor, or whatever characters wears. With simplified or no background. Though keep in mind that it depends from character. If your OC is classic superhero wearing only spandex, there may be not too much detail, anyway. In fact most of video game characters or characters kept in comic book stylisation have simple costumes.
Most likely to qualify for this one are historical characters with ornate robes and armors, as you can't skip too many details on historical outfits without loosing their accuracy. Another example are robots and mecha. Or characters carrying a lot of realistic gear and weaponry.
Detailed background for full body commissions: +$15
Detailed background includes scenes, like city streets and room with full perspective and details, environments affecting character, or auxiliary characters like mooks being kicked by superheroes. It's pretty much for situations where background do matters in one way or another. For example - character is underwater or in fires and lightning and physics also changes.
However, if you have more than one specified character of your choice to depict, it counts like a group shot (i.e. - if your OC's are both one superhero and one supervillain in one comission, it's a group shot of two characters).
Multiple character commissions (group shots): Multiply price by the number of characters. Then add price for detailed background (if any).
Character sheets: $30
It really depends from character, but usually one front, one back shot and head. Sometimes additional detail may be needed, like weapon or tattoo.
Those are usually made with no background, or with a very simplified one.
Simpler commissions: $20
Thigs like partial body shot in color, grayscale, or black&white.
Number of commission slots available:
For now it's five slots, one per commission. One person can take up to two slots.
